Values

At BOBST we give great importance to HOW we deliver our mission. We seek to build respectful and trust-based relationships. We aspire to work with passion to deliver performance.

We believe that our values are not only important for our own success, but also for the success of our suppliers. We expect our suppliers to live our values and to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability, social responsibility, and ethical conduct.

For these reasons, we expect each of our partner to sign our supplier code of conduct before getting into business relations.

Our Strategy & Values

Sustainability

Sustainability is one of the four pillars that guide BOBST’s vision for the future of packaging production. BOBST has a clear strategy based on three pillars: operations, equipment, and packaging use & end-of-life. These pillars reflect the company’s commitment to improve its performance in sustainability, measured by relevant business indicators.

For suppliers, BOBST adopted a four-step approach to address regulations, market demands, and customer requirements:

1 - Inform through the Supplier Code of Conduct (collected signed from suppliers as a commitment)
2 - Analyze using a Supplier Risk Analysis, led by the buyer responsible for the supplier
3 - Rate via an EcoVadis documentation evaluation
- Assess with an on-site evaluation of the supplier, if high risk is identified in the first three steps

Sustainability - EcoVadis

EcoVadis is a business sustainability rating provider. The rating allows the supplier to monitor environmental, social and ethical performance and then share the results with its stakeholders. The evaluation is adapted to the size of the company, its industry, and its geographical area.
Four main themes are under examination and their results displayed on a scorecard:

Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement

BOBST chose EcoVadis as 3rd party to evaluate the most strategic and the riskiest suppliers of our Supply Base to answer the Swiss Law (ODiTr), to prepare the new European regulations (CSRD-CSDDD) and to have a status of the Sustainability level of our supplier. To avoid a proliferation of sustainability audit requests, BOBST can accept an alternative evaluation if it meets our requirements.
